You have been sent a link to this page by the doctor who is examining you for a medico-legal report for your accident claim.
It is important that you take notice of this advice and contact the doctor’s office directly or the medical agency, should you need to cancel your appointment.
You should not attend for a face to face medical if:
- You have received a letter from the Government to advice that you should be shielding (or live that anyone who has); or
- You have symptoms of Covid 19; or
- You have come into contact with anyone within the last 14 days who has symptoms of Covid 19.
If in any doubt, please call the doctor’s office.
Subject to your agreement and that of your solicitor, the doctor may still be able to provide a remote video examination in the instance that you are unable to attend the clinic.
Please be prepared to attend alone if possible. If you cannot avoid anyone attending with you, ie a carer or dependent children, please ensure that they adhere to the points above.
In order to maintain social distancing, please do not arrive at the clinic late and no more than 5 minutes early. If you are late, you may not be able to be seen due to the increased time required due to social distancing. If you are running late please call the doctor’s office.
When you arrive at the clinic please be prepared to wash/sanitise your hands and follow any specific social distancing instructions that have been put in place at that clinic.
Please note that this advice is relevant to those doctors holding clinics in England & Wales.
